Returns Policy

Returns

 

At Northern Building Plastics Ltd (NBP) we hope that you (the Customer) are happy with your purchase, however we know that sometimes you will need to return an item.

You may return most items in a new and unused condition and wherever possible in the original packaging. This service is available at our NBP trade counters.

Please keep your invoice as proof of purchase. If for any reason you are unhappy with the goods, we are unable to accept returns without a valid invoice as proof of purchase.

Any goods returned with a valid invoice 30 days after the purchase date, NBP reserves the right to apply a restocking fee of 25% of the total price of the returned goods, which shall be deducted from any refund due.

If the goods have been delivered prior to us receiving notification of your wish to cancel the order, it is your responsibility to return the goods at your expense.

If the product you purchase isn’t as described, not fit for purpose or faulty, we may offer a repair, exchange or refund as appropriate in accordance with your consumer rights. Please contact your local branch manager or member of the sales team to arrange. See; Returns Authorisation Number.

 

Refunds

 

You will receive a full refund of the price paid less any standard delivery charges, collection charges or charges associated with delivery upgrades and re-stocking fees.

We will always make a refund using the same type of payment any goods were paid for. We cannot make a refund to a credit/debit card that differs from that used to in the original transaction.

Any collected goods by NBP will first need inspecting before an exchange or refund can be applied.

If we refund the price paid before we can inspect the Goods and later discover they have been handled in an unacceptable way, an appropriate amount will need to be paid.

 

Delivered Goods

 

We are under no obligation to arrange collection of goods that need to be returned, if however, we agree to arrange for the return of goods, we will advise you of any costs incurred by us in doing so and will require payment to cover these costs prior to arranging the return.

Where the product is a service, we may deduct from any refund an amount for the supply of the service for the period for which it was supplied, ending with the time when you told us you had changed your mind. The amount will be in proportion to what has been supplied, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

 

Collections

 

If you want to cancel/return your order you must tell us within 14 days (beginning on the day after the day you receive the goods).

Before returning your item(s) please contact NBP for a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN). This will help us to track your return and ensure any exchange or refund is actioned promptly.

NBP reserves the right to apply a restocking fee up to and no more than 25% of any orders we have to collect due to the Customer no longer requiring.

If any product is damaged, has developed a fault, was not as described or is not fit for purpose, the Customer will still need to organise obtaining a RAN before we can arrange a collection.

 

Special & Bespoke Orders

 

This refers to any Goods (Special Orders) not held in stock by NBP (non-stock item) and therefore, ordered and/or manufactured, cut, made to measure, sprayed or altered in any way specifically as per the Customer’s request.

Payment in full is required for such Special Orders at the time the Special Order is placed with us. Special Orders that are altered specifically as per your request, are non-refundable except at our sole discretion. In such instance only, NBP reserves the right to apply a restocking fee outside of our standard terms, the total amount dependant on specific factors, which shall be deducted from any refund due to the Customer.

Any failure to meet specification is notified in writing to NBP within 14 days from the date of delivery or (where the failure was not apparent on reasonable inspection) within a reasonable time after discovery of the failure and in any event such failure must be notified within 3 months after delivery.

Any such defect in design materials workmanship shall have appeared within 3 months after delivery and shall have been thereupon promptly notified to NBP in writing.

NBP shall be under no liability in respect of any defect to the Goods arising from any drawings, design or specification supplied by the Customer.

NBP shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, or other acts of the Customer including without limitation wilful damage, negligence, lack of proper maintenance or servicing, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow NBP’s instructions (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the Goods without NBP’s approval.

NBP shall not be liable to the Customer in contract tort (including without limitation negligence) and/or breach of statutory duty for any loss of profits and/or loss of production or any indirect or consequential (including economic) loss of any kind which the Customer may suffer by reason of any act, omission, neglect or default (including negligence) in the performance of the Contract by NBP, its servants or agents.

 

Cancellation

Following acceptance by NBP of the Customers order, no cancellation and/or suspension, either in whole or in part, may be made by the Customer, other than with the prior written consent of a director of NBP and upon terms that the Customer shall indemnify NBP in full against all loss (including without limitation loss of profit) damages, costs expenses and other liabilities awarded against incurred by NBP as a result of or in connection with the cancellation.

Please be aware NBP reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Your statutory rights are not affected.
